Team notifications are vital for updating dispatchers on significant changes, but they may need to be restricted to specific user groups, which can be managed through the User Roles.
To customise notifications to better suit your team's needs, you can restrict them to particular user roles or specific operational units.
Before you move forward, it's important to familiarise yourself with User Roles, including how to create and modify them. For additional guidance on managing notifications, be sure to check the section on Team Notifications.
Toggle Notifications in User Roles
Each user role includes an option to toggle Notifications. By checking the 'View' box, users assigned to this role will receive notifications, either when they are the creator (Dispatcher) or as part of a group of dispatchers (All Dispatchers). Conversely, if the box is left unchecked, those users will not receive any notifications.
Restricting notifications to specific Organisational Units
For detailed instructions on configuring Organisational Units, please refer to the section dedicated to Organisational Units.
For organisations that have established Organisational Units, you can refine notification settings so that dispatchers only receive alerts pertinent to their specific workflows. This can be accomplished by creating a dedicated role tailored to a particular Organisational Unit.
For users requiring access to multiple Organisational Units, you can assign them multiple roles, each with its own set of permissions. This can be done by adding the relevant roles in the user’s Roles field.
