Understanding ETAs in Yojee: Visual Indicators for Accurate Delivery Tracking

Learn how Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs) are displayed and interpreted in the Dispatcher, Task List View, Explore View, and Tracking Page.

Overview

ETAs (Estimated Times of Arrival) are critical for managing logistics and enhancing the customer experience. In Yojee, ETAs are accompanied by visual indicators in the Dispatcher, List View, Explore View, and Tracking Page to ensure clarity and accuracy for you and your customers.

This guide explains how ETAs are displayed and what the colour-coded indicators mean across different views.

Task List & Explore View ETAs

In the Task List View and Explore View, Yojee displays ETAs for both the next task and the final task in an order. This is particularly useful for:

  • Single-leg movements (e.g., one pickup and one delivery).
  • Multi-leg movements (e.g., tasks involving hubs or intermediate stops).

Examples

  1. Single-Leg Movement:

    • Next Task ETA: Pickup
    • Final Task ETA: Delivery
  2. Multi-Leg Movement:

    • First task (pickup) is completed.
    • Next Task ETA: Second task (e.g., drop-off at a hub).
    • Final Task ETA: Delivery at the final destination.

Colour-Coded ETA Indicators

  • Green: ETA is less than 24 hours from now, and it was updated ≤ 30 minutes ago.
  • Orange: ETA is less than 24 hours from now, but it was updated > 30 minutes ago.
  • Red: ETA is in the past.

List & Explore View Tip

Hover your cursor over the ETA to display a tooltip with additional information:

  • “ETA < 24 hrs from now and updated ≤ 30 min ago”
  • “ETA < 24 hrs from now and updated > 30 min ago”
  • “ETA is in the past!”

Tracking Page ETAs

Similar to the Explore and List views, ETAs on the Tracking Page use visual indicators to communicate accuracy and timing.
