How to Change Task Leg Dates on Orders

Update task dates and time windows for each leg in a multi-leg order in TCMS.

Overview

In TCMS, each leg of an order contains its own pickup and drop-off tasks, each with their own date/time window. If your schedule changes (or an order was created with incorrect timings), you can update the dates for each leg by editing the order.


How to Change Dates on Each Leg

You can edit leg/task dates from Explore, Task List, or the Transport Orders page.

Steps

  1. Locate the order in either:

    • Explore View

    • Task List View

    • Transport Orders Page

  2. Open the order and select Edit.

  3. In the order edit screen, scroll through the legs.
    You’ll see each leg and its related task timings (pickup and drop-off).

  4. Update the task date/time window for the required leg(s).

  5. Save your changes using one of the following options:

    • Click Save

    • Click Save & Close

    • Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Cmd + S to save

✅ You’ve now updated the dates for each leg.


Viewing Changes (Audit Log)

All order updates are tracked automatically.

To view previous changes:

  1. Open the order

  2. Navigate to the Audit Log tab

You’ll be able to see a history of updates made to the order, including changes to timing fields.
